Mystical Joyride is the embodiment of our mysterious existence on this Earthly plane.  These two travelers, Leah and Joel, bonded by marriage and soul, embark upon these seas of mystery on their new EP "Enter From The Inside".  From rapturous discovery of the inner self, to joyous celebration and knowing, this project is a fresh cocktail of primal, cosmic and modern sounds hailing from vibrant Los Angeles, CA.  From the dirt and grime of "Derdy Nature",  the tribal hip-hop feels of "Hair Down" to the moving rhythms of "Enter From The Inside" there is a unique blend of elements from this self produced band. "3rd Eye" prompts the awakening of inner knowing, while "Existential Crisis" confronts the mystery head on. 

Joel is an acclaimed guitarist, studio musician, producer and songwriter having played and musical-directed for Aloe Blacc and cowrote with the likes of Yuna, DVSN, Robin Hannibal and more.  He plays numerous instruments on the record and on the stage. Leah is a soul-piercing singer and songwriter, born into a Motown lineage family. Her father is William King, a founding member of The Commodores and her mother is Shirley Hanna, a grammy-nominated songwriter. Both Leah and Joel have crafted numerous solo projects and been part of countless collaborations/ made contributions to other projects. After becoming married in 2015, they finally put their projects/skills together to create their new supergroup "Mystical Joyride",  using their years of experience in writing and producing to create “Enter From The Inside”.  They mix electronics and live instruments into their lively set, with glowing elements and psychedelic vibes.
